Thanks to an invite from a lovely friend I had a chance to see the play "For Colored Girls," which was presented by Trigger Hippie Productions. This was their first production and rendition of Ntozake Shange's, "For Colored Girls who considered suicide when the rainbow is enuf!" It was truly engaging. Seven women had a chance to share seven stories of pain, triumph and self love. I particularly loved their wardrobe, full of very vibrant colors all colors of the rainbow and their ear rings were beautiful. The jeweler was there but we couldn't seem to track her down. To me their clothing emphasized the beauty, power and strength within their hearts, which were alternately filled with a plethora of trials and tribulations.
